I Kissed a Giraffe, and I Liked It
A couple weekends ago we went with the Young-Vacek Clan to Hendrick's Exotic Animal Farm near Hutchinson, KS. We stayed overnight at the B & B and were treated to two tours of the farm, one the evening we arrived, one in the a.m. The kids got to be up close and very personal with kangaroos, zebras, giraffes, alpacas, etc. etc. Joaquin held a carrot in his mouth for the giraffe, who gave him a big slurpy kiss. JCG is strange with animals - at times he looks deathly afraid of dogs, but then he'll frolic with kangaroos. Go figure. It was great to get out of town, just to have a mini-vacation. He loooves to spend time with the triplets (Blake, Eric, Noah), Cole, Kris & Jamie. He refers to the whole family as "EricNoah" or "EricNoNo." After we went to bed at the B & B, he repeated "EricNoah" somewhere between 30-50 times before falling asleep. I do not exaggerate.
