We are here at Grandpa's house in Iowa. Today we got to hide Easter eggs, eat at a Chinese buffet for lunch, and play at Sue & Kendal's house. Later, he took all the plastic eggs with him into the bathtub. I got the best video...if anybody knows how to upload video's onto blogspot, please let me know because I can't figure it out and there are some great video's I'm getting with my little Flip recorder.
JCG is really starting to babble now. Grandpa = Bee-Pa. The whole way to Iowa he kept repeating, "Bee-Pa's House." He understands concepts more and more. His longest sentence to date is: "No night-night, no tired mommy." Before bed he will often put in his order for what he wants to eat for breakfast. Tonight it was "toast, applesauce." The kid would eat applesauce every hour on the hour if it were available. He says mommy consistently now, to me and to everybody else.
He had three meltdowns in the car this time, usually it is two. The last two, however, were about the same thing. He so badly wants to learn how to tie his shoes. He was in the back seat getting more and more frustrated. He can untie them but then gets SO MAD because he doesn't know what comes next. He is all about light switches, buttons, knobs, shoe laces, etc. Anything that has a function to manipulate. Everyone who we've paid a visit to lately just knows he will wander around their house looking for switches. It is fun to watch.
