Yesterday, November 8th, marked the date we met. Boggles my mind, I can't remember life before Joaquin! News of note:
We decided to forego the circumcision, and reschedule the ear tube surgery to December 12th. This gives the hospital time to argue for insurance coverage. I really like Children's Mercy in KC. They definitely advocate.
Preschool continues to go really well, he is participating more and more with the other kids. A few potty accidents this week, out of the blue; teacher was understanding! He took school pictures and they are darling considering it took quite awhile to warm up to the photographer.
Recent excursions have been to the KC Zoo with Ann, Owen, and Eli for "Boo at the Zoo;" swimming lessons began at the YMCA 3 wks ago but we've missed the last two as he's had a constant cold; Allan & Stephanie's housewarming was a hit with two little pugs to play with; met Traci and Henry at the park to play; Pre-Election celebration at Aunt Amy & Uncle Shawns (he picked the blue crayon, not the red crayon); out to lunch with Aunt Becky and frolicked in the autumn leaves afterwards; and last but not least, Halloween with new friends in the neighborhood! It was a beautiful warm night, Tia Yamel went with us, and he loved the whole concept...he now believes if you just pick a house and drop by, people will greet you at the door with candy, any ole' time!
A special thanks to Uncle Milo for staying with JCG at 5:00 a.m. while mommy went to vote on Tuesday.
