Thursday, Jan. 8th - JCG got a lot better really quickly. We went to play at Kris, Jamie, Cole, Noah, Blake, & Eric's house and he had a lot of energy! Thanks for the "Mud" drink and the support to the Vacek-Young clan.
Friday, Jan. 9th - Aunt Maryann visited in the a.m., Uncle Paul came at noon and stayed all day. I got to go to a Dr. appt., and to run errands. It was heaven! JCG never knew I was gone b/c he was napping. We even went to the park as it was unusually warm, Joaquin got to show Uncle Paul how he can go down the slide. This was the last day we used any pain meds.
Saturday, Jan. 10th - We lounged around in the a.m., I realized Dora the Explorer was getting on my last nerve as JCG was getting totally attached to TV for the first time. Ah well. In the afternoon Carla K. came over to bring us some groceries and stayed all evening. Girl time!! We put JCG to bed and uncorked a bottle of wine. This is the first time I've had an extended period of chitchat with a girlfriend in months, another slice of heaven for sure. JCG slept all through the night in his own bed without pain for the first time post-op. Woo hoo!!
Sunday, Jan. 11th - We went to play in the a.m. with the Young-Vacek clan, playdoh central. JCG's face looked completely back to normal, no signs of pain. In the afternoon we prepped to go back to preschool (I have to supply all his foods for the next 2 weeks, plus instrutions for his brace, etc.) Aunt Becky was feeling better and came to play, JCG ate it up!
