Bon Voyage

It's 6:30 a.m., Maryann is taking me to the airport in a minute. The trip has officially begun! Not much sleep last night, which is fine because I have about 30 hours to nap if I want to. It feels great to be on the road, suitcases packed, nothing else to prepare. I'm having flashbacks to my trip to China 21 years ago, when I was a college student. I had no idea what I was getting into. Never heard of the Cultural Revolution in China, not a word of Chinese under my belt. Ha! Now I'm going back to meet my son. What a world...FYI, I will meet Joaquin by the time you go to bed in the U.S. on Sunday night...send good thoughts! Peace out, Karen

Good luck Karen. Can't wait to read about your travels and meeting Joaquin. Sorry I didn't get you called before you left.

Have a great trip! Enjoy your nice long nap since you won't be napping much after Joaquin comes home :-)

Lots of hugs,

Karencita,
You have a safe trip and my prayers for you and Joaquin. I love the idea of setting up the blog. For some odd reason I got you phone message last night. Sorry for miss calling you before take off.

Hey Karen - things have a way of coming back to us full circle - this is just another example of the many that have already happened in your journey to Joaquin. He truly will be the most loved little guy by so many - how lucky he will be in his new home. Sunday night can't get here soon enough!
